Annie Snyder

Associate

Annie Snyder is an Associate at Schmidt Sciences. In her role, she runs the AI at Work program, leading program strategy, execution, and developing key research priorities. In addition, she works on developing new programs for the AI and Advanced Computing Institute, identifying emerging trends and opportunities. Beyond her pivotal role in these programs, Annie contributes her expertise to building philanthropic and industry partnerships to accelerate the Institute’s work.

Prior to Schmidt Sciences, Annie has worked in the Responsible AI space on projects such as building demos highlighting AI persuasion risks with FAR.AI, developing climate modeling tools for the UN Multilateral Fund, and defining clear methods for using AI in the context of Indigenous Data Sovereignty at Berkeley’s Center for Data Science & Environment. She has also worked on Responsible AI at Meta, and done research with MIT’s AI Policy Forum. Annie received her B.S. from MIT in Computer Science, Economics, and Data Science.
