Nairoby Russell

Nairoby is a Manager at Schmidt Sciences. In this role, she supports two Senior Executives and a Managing Director on the team. Nairoby also manages grants for both the Technology & Society and Scientific Knowledge portfolios.

Previously, Nairoby was the Program Administrator at Columbia University – Columbia Nano Initiative, supporting her team with pre-award and post-award administration, that included development, submission and management of sponsored projects and initiatives. Prior to Columbia, Nairoby was a Grant Writer and Executive Assistant at New York-Presbyterian Hospital for more than a decade. During that time she was also Program Coordinator for the hospital’s mentorship program – a volunteer program to meet the unique needs of high school students from underserved areas with an interest in healthcare.

Nairoby is passionate about health and wellness, and improving health equity for socially disadvantaged and underserved communities. Nairoby graduated from New York University with a B.A. in Sociology and minor in Metropolitan Studies.
