Sabrina Speich

École Normale Supérieure

Sabrina is a physical oceanographer with three decades of experience in modelling and designing large international observing projects to better assess ocean and climate processes and monitor changes. Promoting interdisciplinary studies to understand the non-linear dynamics of the ocean and its impact on biogeochemistry, marine biomes and ecosystems, and the atmosphere has been her favoured approach for the last 15 years. She has also been working with the international community to improve the strategy and the capacity of ocean observation. Indeed, in the face of a rapidly changing climate, the ocean is key to the future of humanity.

She is full professor of Oceanography and Climate Sciences at the École Normale Supérieure (ENS) of Paris and I am member of the Laboratoire de Météorologie Dynamique (LMD) and the French climate Institute Pierre-Simon Laplace (IPSL).
