Lloyd completed an M.Eng. in Aeronautical Engineering at the Department of Aeronautics of Imperial College London in 2017, with a year in industry working in Rolls-Royce. Funded by the President’s scholarship of Imperial, he continued to pursue a PhD in the same department and graduated in 2021, under the supervision of Dr Yongyun Hwang. He was then elected as a Research Fellow at Peterhouse, Cambridge, during which he worked with Prof. Raymond Goldstein and Prof. Eric Lauga on various biological fluid dynamics problems. Later in the fellowship, he also started working with Prof. Matthew Juniper on Bayesian data assimilation and model discovery, and worked briefly with the Alan Turing Institute. In 2024, he received the Imperial College Research Fellowship and the Eric and Wendy Schmidt AI in Science Postdoctoral Fellow. He is now working with Prof. Luca Magri at the Department of Aeronautics of Imperial College London.
