Dr. Lee Murray is an Associate Professor in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Rochester. He received his B.S. in Environmental Sciences and Engineering in 2007, M.A. in Earth and Planetary Sciences in 2012, and Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences in 2013, all from Harvard University. He performed postdoctoral research jointly at the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies and the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University in New York, NY, until joining the University of Rochester in 2016. His research uses computational fluid dynamics and big data analyses to study the coupling of reactive chemistry in the atmosphere with the global climate system in the past, present, and future, as well as the impact of this chemistry on human and ecosystem health.
