Valentina Pyatkin is a postdoctoral researcher (and Young Investigator) at AI2 and at the University of Washington, advised by Prof. Yejin Choi. She completed her PhD in Computer Science at the NLP lab of Bar Ilan University, supervised by Prof. Ido Dagan and Prof. Reut Tsarfaty. She also was a visiting PhD student at UW NLP and had the pleasure of interning at the Allen Institute for AI and at Google Research. She is very honored to have received the AI2 Outstanding Intern of the Year award, an Outstanding Paper award and the Best Theme Paper award at ACL 2024 . Prior to starting her PhD, Valentina earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Zurich and a MSc from the University of Edinburgh.
