Zsolt Kira is an Associate Professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology and Associate Director of Georgia Tech’s Machine Learning Center. His work lies at the intersection of machine learning and artificial intelligence for perception and robotics, focusing on efficient visual learning and decision-making in an open world and how Multi-Modal Foundation Models can be applied to these problems. Dr. Kira has grown a portfolio of projects funded by NSF, ONR, DARPA, and industry. He has also won the NSF CAREER Award, the College of Computing Outstanding Junior Faculty Research Award, and several best paper/student paper awards.
