Ludwig earned his Bachelor of Science in Physics from the Georg-August University of Goettingen, Germany in 2013, followed by my Master’s degree in Physics from the same institution in 2015, where I focused on the study of polymer physics using high-performance computers.
Under the supervision of Prof. Marcus Müller at the Georg-August University of Goettingen, I pursued my PhD studies, which culminated in receiving Summa cum Laude in 2019 and the Berliner-Ungewitter prize for my dissertation, which focused on “Rheology and Structure Formation in Complex Polymer Melts.”
In November 2020, I joined the research group led by Prof. Juan de Pablo at the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering, University of Chicago for my post-doctoral studies. As of January 2023, I am currently serving as the Eric and Wendy Schmidt AI-Postdoctoral Scholar, working to advance the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning in science.
