Dr. Damián Blasi is a Research Professor at ICREA (Catalan Institution for Research and Advanced Study), currently based at the Center for Brain and Cognition at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, Spain. He also serves as an ad hoc expert on linguistic diversity for UNESCO and is a Research Associate at the Culture, Cognition, and Co-evolution Laboratory in the Department of Human Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University. Dr. Blasi investigates the evolution and diversification of languages and cultures through a transdisciplinary approach, bridging behavioral, biological, and cognitive sciences. His research draws from a wide variety of evidence, data, and methodologies across multiple scientific disciplines. Additionally, he studies the current and future impacts of cultural and linguistic diversity on global human wellbeing, with applications in medicine, education, and artificial intelligence.
