I am developing heliostack: a novel technique for detecting solar system objects in astronomical images. This new technique will enable astronomers to find fainter solar system objects by combining images taken on multiple days and from multiple telescopes, thereby extracting the most possible information from our data. heliostack will fundamentally change how we search for and study solar system minor planet populations, with immediate application to the upcoming Legacy Survey of Space and Time.
