Originally from Thailand, I obtained my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in physics, where I worked on computational quantum chemistry and experimental particle physics. With the looming environmental concern over plastic waste in Thailand and globally, I decided to tackle this problem and worked on the thermochemical conversion of plastic waste into fuels and chemicals during my PhD. As a Schmidt AI in Science postdoctoral fellow, I will work on another method for plastic recycling and upcycling, which is electrochemistry. Data from electrochemical reactions in small organic molecules will be used to accelerate the discovery of electrochemical reactions for breaking down plastics.
