After pursuing a Bachelors in Neuroscience in the University of Edinburgh (UK) and Masters of Cognitive Science in the École Normale Superieure (France), I studied neuronal computations for my PhD in Michaël Zugaro’s lab in Paris. In particular, I focused on cross-structural communication in the context of memory formation and consolidation and discovered a novel mode of communication between the hippocampus and the prefrontal cortex (Todorova & Zugaro, Science 2019). Presently, I am a postdoctoral fellow in the Brain Computation & Behavior lab in the NBB department at Cornell University, developing a project at the intersection of neuroscience and AI to elucidate the mechanisms of mental imagery.
