Xin is a postdoctoral researcher in chemical and biomolecular engineering. Her research focuses on liquid crystal-based sensors for detecting gasses, microplastics, proteins, and other chemicals using advanced deep learning and computer vision techniques. She received a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with Honors from Zhejiang University, China in 2016, and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University in 2022. In her free time, she serves as the Head Coach of the Cornell Archery Club/Team.
