Dr. Yu Su is a Distinguished Assistant Professor of Engineering in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University, where he co-directs the OSU NLP group, co-leads the Foundational AI team at the ICICLE AI Institute, and leads the Machine Learning Foundations team at the Imageomics Institute. Su received his PhD from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and his bachelor’s degree from Tsinghua University, both in Computer Science. He previously worked as a researcher at Microsoft Semantic Machines. Su is a 2025 Sloan Research Fellow and has received multiple best and outstanding paper awards at prestigious conferences, including CVPR and ACL.

In partnership with Dr. Sun and Lin, their funded project will develop a virtual environment for testing and defending computer-use AI agents in adversarial settings resembling the Internet and web applications.
