Yuanyuan Shi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California San Diego. She received her Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), and master’s degrees in ECE and Statistics, all from the University of Washington, in 2020. From 2020 to 2021, she was a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Computing and Mathematical Sciences Department at the California Institute of Technology. Her research interests lie in the areas of machine learning, dynamical systems, and control, with applications in sustainable energy systems. She has received multiple awards, including the Rising Star award in EECS from MIT, the Scientific Achievement Award from UW Clean Energy Institute in 2020, the Hellman Fellowship in 2023, and best paper awards at the Power Systems Computation Conference (highlight paper award) and ACM e-Energy (best paper finalist).
