Yutong Wang is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan. He worked on theoretical aspects of multiclass support vector machines and overparametrized interpolating models. He has research papers published at leading machine learning conferences including NeurIPS, ICLR and ICML. He also has experience in interdisciplinary research with colleagues in the School of Public Health at the University of Michigan, where Yutong developed a feature selection algorithm for genomic data analysis. Prior to his PhD, he obtained a Masters in mathematics at UC Davis where he worked with Brian Osserman.
