David Goodstone

Content Manager

David Goodstone is the Content Manager at Schmidt Sciences. In this role, he leads executive communications and thought leadership strategy.

 

Previously, David oversaw strategic communications at Rotary International, a global service organization tackling the world’s most persistent issues, ranging from disease eradication to peacebuilding. He worked with the University of Chicago and Johns Hopkins University on novel methods to measure and expand the impact of volunteer work. His writing has been published in outlets including Newsweek, Time, & National Geographic. His efforts at Rotary were recognized with the Cicero Speechwriting Award and the Shorty Social Good Award for World Polio Day.

 

Before joining Rotary, David worked for the Israeli Foreign Ministry from 2010-2015, in Jerusalem and San Francisco. As Director of Public Affairs for the Israeli Consulate to the Pacific Northwest, he contributed to the first Memorandum of Understanding signed between Israel and California, enhancing trade, academic cooperation, and biotech research. In 2011, he worked at the Henry Jackson Society in London, authoring profiles for ‘Al-Qaeda in the United States: A Complete Analysis of Terrorism Offenses’. He holds a B.A. in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford and a Master’s degree in Modern Literature from the University of London.
